The listing, Davis's Drug Guide for Nurses has ended.
Sixth Edition, 1145 pgs, Pictures of medication for identification, Brand name, Generic name and classification, indications, contraindications, dosages and routes. I used this in college and it was invaluable as a nurse. Used but good condition.
I totally understand, especially when it gets into indications and contraindications and chemical compounds. But the information has to be there whether its understood by lay people or not. It takes advanced terminology and perhaps med school to get all of it, but I think most would like that if you find a pill out of its container and aren't sure what it is, you can identify it by the pictures. Care givers and the elderly would benefit and hospital staff that find "hidden" meds or displaced meds. I liked that it lists side effects that sometimes aren't told.
