About the players:
-As rock solid as they come, Jose Cardenal collected 1913 hits and 775 RBI in his career while stealing 329 bases.
-Paul Schaal played 11 seasons, originally as a defensive third baseman, but he eventually learned to hit, batting 40 points and .100 OPS better with the Royals late in his career than he did with the Angels.
