Mike has been referred to as mythical, perhaps because his tools are very much like Greg Maddux with a pinch of Mike Mussina, and perhaps because we've seen so little of it. Mike had a breakout season in 2013, posting 184 strikeouts and a 3.21 ERA; however, he was slowed by injuries in 2014 and missed 2015 with injury issues leftover from 2014 before being released by the rebuilding Braves franchise, he's now pitching with the Kansas City Royals organization, and despite not posting huge numbers, Minor is showing the Royals what they want in the minors, having jumped through 3 levels of minor league baseball in 2016 and sitting at the cusp in AAA right now, awaiting the call.
