The listing, Super Rare 1986 Conlon Limited Edition Roger Peckinpaugh (Senators)(12,000 Sets) has ended.
Here up for bids is the following trading card;
1986 Conlon The Sporting News Smithsonian Institution Limited Edition of 12,000 sets #37 of 60 Roger Peckinpaugh (Washington Senators)
In 1986, World Wide Sports of St. Louis, MO in cooperation with The Sporting News, issued a 60 card set in commemoration of the Exhibition Baseball Immortals, a feature of the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution. Each card was made from an original 4×5 glass negative produced by baseball's premier photographer Charles Martin Conlon.
Seldom offered as a set and scarcely seen for sale singly, only 12,000 complete sets were issued making it more than 4 times scarcer than the very difficult to obtain 1995 Conlon Collection Cards.
Roger Peckinpaugh (Cleveland Naps 1910, 1912-13, New York Yankees 1913-21, Senators 1922-26, White Sox 1927) World Series Champion 1924
There are some surface impressions on the card (2 count on front), 1 nick on the rear of card. Please enlarge the photos to see the exact condition of the card. There will be no GIN on this auction please refrain from asking. This is all of the information I could find on this card. Thank you for watching and good luck to all those bidding. There are only a few that I have in my outgoing collection. Once again, this is NOT the regular 1986 Conlon Collection Cards, this is the very rare limited edition. 12,000 sets might not sound rare compared to how they issue them now but remember that this is 1986 vintage limited edition we are talking about here folks.
