Description
The listing, 1953 D? Franklin Half Dollar coin 90% silver has ended.
The coin that you see in the scans above is the coin that you will get. I like the small eagle to the right of the bell.
I will ship with delivery confirmation added!
A nice piece of history for collectors (I can remember when people paid with fifty cent pieces at my parents' store), or you can save it for the silver melt value. 90 per cent silver.
Feel free to ask questions. I am not a coin collector, and you may know something about this coin that is good to mention. I think the scan shows more detail than you would notice with the naked eye.
Actually, the Franklin coins have their mint mark on the back, above the bell, right under the letter E in the word States. Trouble is, my vision isn't too great anymore, and even with a magnifying glass, I have trouble telling if the mark is a D or an S. If you look at the second photo, you'll notice a mint mark. I think it's a D - but I'm just covering myself in case I'm not seeing it right.
My dad (who is the coin collector in our family) says to explain it this way: on a Franklin half, the mint mark is on the back, centered above the bell's beam...
