Well... heres the thing... I smoke, so I can't smell it on things.
I would think the cardboard may come sooner retaining a smoke smell than the plastic tube inside. I try to keep things that I am gona list in a plastic tote... but if you are allergic to smoke I would probably avoid my auctions. I'd hate for it to bother you, that is why I make sure to state that I do smoke & have pets in my home.
Better safe than sorry... and honesty is the best policy! *=)
