When the cigar industry was nationalized by Castro in Cuba in 1959, a handful of growers made their exodus, taking their seeds with them, and moved on to ply their craft where they has the freedom to do so. Carlos Torano was one of them and settled in Nicaragua where his family continues his endeavor to grow the finest tobaccos and make the quality cigars that they are known for. This is an exquisite box with lightly pearlescent wood grain stained a medium maple with a glossy lacquered finish. The graphics are deeply stamped in to the 3/8" thick solid wood body and it proudly displays gold toned hinges and closing clasp. It has contoured edges on the cover for a better look and feel and is in fantastic condition. It measures 7 5/8" x 6 3/4" and is a generous 2 7/8" high.
