These are 10" long. Tht is OK. If youwnt wider afghan you make it in strips and stitch or crochet them together. I have one like that on my bed now. The shaller size is aluminum and the size 11 if wood. The wood one doesn't have an end cap but it that is a problem, just put a rubber band around it many times and the stitches won't fall off the back. The samje works for knitting needles. I am almost out of afghan hooks except for my personal collectiopn.
