YOU ARE BIDDING ON AN HP MINI 5101 10.1" NETBOOK INTEL ATOM N280 1.67GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD WITH WINDOWS 7 Ultimate 32-BIT OS. It came with Windows XP but I upgraded it. Only thing wrong is the fan needs to be replaced, unless you prop it up to let it vent, it will shut off if it gets too hot. which wasnt a big deal for me, because I bought a cooling fan mat for it. I was going to fix the fan but got another laptop and figured someone out there can fix it. Its a great little netbook and pretty fast for what it is. Also the charging cord was chewed on by my sisters cat but I fixed it and it works fine, normal wears for an everyday use netbook, Its nice and durable. Happy Bidding.

You say the fan can be fixed. Do you have an idea of how much that may cost and can that actually be done? Sorry, I'm not a computer tech:) A free netbook is great though! I just may have to forego bidding on other items

Do you have any idea if mini netbook was "just resting on your bare legs, would if still need the fan or if it was raised up above surface would it still need fan right away?

fan doesnt work so yes if it were just on legs it will over heat. if fan replaced then no. or on a fan mat or proped up no problem

fired from my job and my laptop crashed like a week ago so I had to sell it for scrap to pay some of the bills so I don't know if I could pay shipping but a laptop would help me search for jobs
