The Big Hurt as he was known had a lifetime batting average of .301. With 2,468 hits, 521 home runs and 1,704 RBIs. Frank was a five time All Star. He won four Silver Slugger Awards. He was a two time American League MVP. American League Batting Champion in 1997. Home Run Derby Champion in 1995. His number # 35 is retired with the Chicago White Sox. He was inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame in 2014.
He was one of the most Fearsome and devastating hitters of his era. Thomas was one of the major stars who never fell under suspicion during the controversies over performance enhancing drugs in the late 1990s, and was an advocate for drug testing as early as 1995.
