Description

The listing, ~Catnip~ Seeds (10) has ended.

Catnip plants are not just for cats: like so many herbs, they also have culinary and medicinal uses, whether used fresh or dried. Tea made from the leaves and flowers of this herbaceous perennial has traditionally been imbibed to relieve coughs, for instance. The leaves and shoots can be used as ingredients in sauces and soups. The oil extracted from catnip plants is even used in natural mosquito repellents. Has a lemony-mint scent. Store dried leaves and flowers in freezer bags to preserve the potency of the oil.

I have had a couple of my plants that I have had for many years die this year. Luckily I have them planted in several different spots. Our weather has been so odd this year and I don't know if that is why mine died. Even the blooming times were different for some of my flowers. They bloomed in early spring, then died off and have now bloomed again. They have never done that before. I have some Day Lilies that have just started blooming again, it is the oddest thing.

Some here, even the ones inside seem off their kliter.
There are new shoots ne some of my fruit trees outside
right now.

I also had the catnip in more than one spot. it was
in a few on the ground and in planters hanging
outside the windows.

I agree with you about it having to do with
the weather this year. Glad I have keep
most ost my seeds from last year to try again next
of my flowers and herbs. But others have to be totally
replaced.

You know what the strangest thing is...I planted some Amaryllis bulbs 3 years ago and they never grew until this year. I was shocked. I thought at first it was one of the Lily's at first, then I discovered that it was the Amaryillis. I could not figure out what was going on. I am sorry that you are having problems but, it is nice to know that I am not the only one! Some of the colors of my flowers have even changed from the color they were for many years. I'm baffled!

I've heard that if you put an iron nail in the ground
near the plant it will change color. I have
tried it with iris' ad they all went purple. Biggest
mistake I ever made. I also found out you
can never get your old color back.
