I can imagine...I noticed earlier on the weather channel it was showing 115 there. I have been there before when I was an OTR truck driver...I know it gets really hot there.
No need to apologize I'm good at confusing people. The complete series would include 8 seasons total, 249 episodes on 40 discs, 1960-1968. This is only the next to the last season, season 7 with only 5 discs and only 30 episodes. I don't know why they put on the box the complete seventh season. I guess they think people might think they are only getting part of a season and not the full season. Thanks for your interest and asking I appreciate it very much!! :)
I knew you were close to Knoxville because I have been through there several times when I went to the Smoky Mountains. I'm about 115 miles from Memphis and 181 miles from Nashville.
Oh I remember that one --it WAS great! One of my favorites is when Aunt Bee made the pickles for the contest at the fair--- they tasted like kerosene...lol My husband drive an 18 wheeler-- locally picking up and delivering freight- so he's in and out of the back of the truck--which is probably 150 degrees and on the hot docks... he hates it.....after a 10+ hr day he comes in literally staggering, soaked with sweat and salt marks all over his shirt...it's a hard job.....he keeps saying '...I'm too old for this...'......58....he's right....
Yes, I remember the kerosene cucumbers Aunt Bea made too. I would have definitely gotten sick and tired of eating all those pickles. I definitely don't envy your husband having to unload freight especially in that hot weather there! I have had to unload in some pretty hot weather in California before and it wasn't no fun at all. Work like that will definitely make you old fast regardless if you are or not! I was glad when I got to haul no-touch freight or drop & hook...that unloading freight is hot hard work in the summer and freezing in the winter!
