Yes they are family dogs and protective. I have seen German shepherds who visit their owners graves on their own they cry when they miss their humans. my mommy dog only had one litter because she cried and look for her babies it hurt her to have them taken away. She is more of a mother than some humans I know. I kept one puppy for her but got them both fixed.

My daughters was the only pup sold to the public. The rest of the liter was sold to the Brown County Sheriff's Department to be doggy police.

Oh my daughter has a puppy Bull mastiff, 6 mo. old & 81 pounds of love! I thought i might be scared of her, but nope, i love her. Adorable!

Gentle giants mine is about 160 he's big baby I weight about 110 am 5 7 tall n he towers over me. But minds and loves my grandchildren. We have a St. Bernard outside. Mine are all rescue dogs. Ty GL:-)
