that is Rosin. That is a pine tree sap wax all this came with the violin . this violin is just for show only it isn't a violin you play

i believe it's cherry yes it closes just like a violin case . over all it looks like the ral thing

no on the package it's spelled rosin, it wasn't a display it was in a case where i bought it at an estate sale.
