you would use it to wand people before entering to make sure they have no weapons on them

1 9v battery or u can use a 9v rechargeable battery cause it has a 9v jack to plug in and charge. (please note 9v power plug NOT included) and no i did not take it, it says on the box that it does not come with one.

nothing it works. you wave it by metal and it beeps. you can change setting on it to more sensitive or less.
