In 1898 the United States Post Office issued a series of stamps to commemorate the Trans-Mississippi Exposition. Especially popular was the $1.00 value, showing Western Cattle in Storm. Although the Post Office planned to issue the stamps in bicolor, they ultimately released them in a single color each. That stamp now catalogues $3250.00 in mint condition.
