Vintage sterling silver real turquoise and abalone shell handcrafted earrings from mexico. they are 1 1/8 inch wide with opening in the middle and are marked on back mexico alpaca. the tiny turquoise stones are along the edges and down in between the pieces of abalone shell. has a top clear coat glaze over the top which seals stones in place ...so no missing stones ever !! very pretty colors in the abalone shell pieces. for pierced ears. wire hangers. they belong to mom who was 83. she wore them some on special occassions. any questions.. just ask !! thank you.

I've been watching these and I have a question ... are you sure these are SS? I was looking at bidding on them for my Mom but she can not wear anything but SS or she breaks out in hives and her ears swell to Dumbo size ... She can't even wear gold ... she's a weird duck ... lol :)

hi, the setting is sterling silver. mom couldnt wear anything but sterling silver. but she has passed now so i cant ask her. they were a little tarnished on back so i cleaned them with silver cleaner and now they shine. i was told that the cleaner would have made them dull if they werent real sterling, and now they shine!! ty

hi, all. just to let you know in the one picture showing the back of the earrings it looks like a black stop. thats just a reflection. the backs on both are clear and shiny. ty
