Description

The listing, Sprint: samsung moment. Android smart phone. has ended.

Please read description!

I bought this off of eBay but ended up getting a better phone on a better network before I even went to activate it.
Never was a fan of sprint anyways.

I'm unable to reset the phone, other than that I can't seem to find anything wrong with it.
I'm not sure why it won't let me reset it I think it's because of the android update that was put on it.

I had check the ESN but you can check it yourself if you want.

It comes with the box, the booklet, screen protectors, 2gb SD memory card, and headphones.
No charger sorry.

Phone information:
Touchscreen with joystick navigation
3.2 Megapixel Camera and Video Camcorder
CDMA frequency band of 800 MHz/ 1.9 GHz.

Running android 2.1 (Eclair)

Why? I'm not saying you're wrong or anything I'm just confused.
I thought that's how people check the ESN.

This can be flashed to work with another carrier, however only certain companies will accept flashed phones (Cricket, MetroPCS).

Verizon will not activate phones that they didn't sell as they have no way of adding the ESN into their database.

With Sprint, if a phone was active at the time an account was closed and there is money still owing on the account, the will "blacklist" the phones serial number (ESN). If the account was closed and is clear of any charges, or if the account is still active but the user just upgraded to a different phone, then the phone will be able to be reactivated with no issue.

If there is nothing wrong with the phone and the ESN is clear you need to contact the people that you got it from on Ebay and see if they can have it reset. I got a phone on here and it was still activated in someone else's name, and sprint told me I had to contact the person and have them call in and deactivate it. They said that there is no other way to reset it than that. Fanned and watching.

do you know if Sprint can get flashed to other companies?

It can... but I heard a lot of people have trouble doing it with sprint phones or updated phones.
I really only recommend bidding if you know you can flash it or if you want to use it with sprint. (I don't know much about flashing so this is about the must I can give my input on it.)

I really don't want you to bid and than be unable to flash it and be upset. :(

Kind of a waste of time for the effort as they wouldnt be able to get the data functions to work without pulling additional information from your phone physically. Its a quick fix they use to scam someone into buying the phone, but the buyer would soon find out they got hosed. Not to mention it is illegal (the laws are so old its a grey area).

Oh! you mean cloning the esn right? I don't really know much about it other than what people call it.
I didn't think of that at all, but it won't let me remove the picture or information since people have already bid on it.

People with advanced knowledge of phone programming could possibly steal your ESN to fix a phone with a bad one so it could be reactivated.

Dec 6th, 2011 at 7:33:11 AM PST by

No it's a CDMA phone, only major carries that I know take a sim card (called GSM I think): is AT&T, and T mobile.
I know there is more but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
