Up for auction are two Elves that my mom decorated with back in the early 1960s. I remember them from that time. Back then they didn't use the phrase "Elf on a Shelf", but elves were very popular!I think she had them in the 1950s, but I definitely remember them in the early 60s. She took care of them, so these are in good shape. She used to perch them on top of picture frames in our living room during the holidays (memories...)!
They measure about 5-1/2" as you see them in the photos. Their faces are a hard plastic.
The painted features (eyes) are still really good without any paint loss! There may be just the tiniest bit of fading to the felt bodies, but really not bad at all.
