The listing, 1972 Topps #38 CARL YASTRZEMSKI (Red Sox) Hall of Famer has ended.
Continuing a long tradition of great left-fielders in Boston, Yaz replaced Ted Williams when he retired (and himself was eventually replaced by Hall of Famer Jim Rice). The Red Sox couldn't have asked for a better "new guy" in Williams' place: Yaz collected 3419 hits and 452 home runs in a storied career. He won 6 Gold Gloves, made 18 All Star teams, drove in an amazing 1844 runs, and in 1967 won an MVP Award after winning a rare Batting triple Crown. He was a first-ballot Hall of Famer in 1989.
