FREE shipping ~ Columbine ~ Double Pink ~ 20+ seeds ~ 2011 ~ Fresh from my garden! How to Grow Columbine Flower Plants:

Columbine are very easy to grow. They grow well in partial shade and well drained soil. They will do well in average soils and tolerate dry soil conditions. Add a general purpose fertilizer once or twice a season.

Columbine grows 15-20", and are good in flowerbeds, containers, as edging, and in rock gardens.

What season do these flower in? also when do you plant them and are they vines? I am not very sure about them. These are new to me. Do they do well in clay type dirt because that is the kind of dirt we have here in Va. Very tough to find flowers that do well here. I have flower beds but I don't want them to over power m flower bed. You said they grow to 20" tall?
God Bless,

Hi Legend Rose, the flowers start appearing mid-May thru mid June ~ they are not a vine, but more of a cluster ~ I would amend the soil just a little bit with some compost ~ I don't believe that they will overpower your beds ~ I've sprinkled the seed in several locations (pots, up against the house and in several beds located with morning sun and then in a bed with afternoon sun and they have all done well) My father has even grown them in a rock garden. ~ Yes 15-20" tall ~ they are such a cheery flower ~ hope this helps ~ Legend FushiaTigerLily
