The winner of this auction will receive the 1797 British Cartwheel Penny shown in the attached photos. Coins of this type bearing the likeness of King George III were only issued in 1797. These are hard to come by in nice condition and can be quite expensive. I would grade this 200+ year old coin as Fair. The date is very legible and the images are clear and some of the lettering is readable. The coin is nicked up but it is still pretty cool looking; it has a nice copper tone and is a neat conversation piece. It is quite large and heavy and you don't see many 1700s coins for sale on this site.
