Sleek, lightweight models offer Kershaw quality at an affordable price. The missing link-between a quality, made-in-the-USA knife and a price most consumers can afford-has been found. Or, to be more precise, Kershaw is making it. Appropriately, we call it the Link and have given it the patriotic model number of 1776. This Link, model 1776T, is our tanto-blade model. The 420HC stainless blade steel has higher amounts of carbon and chromium to boost hardenability and corrosion resistance. It is an excellent everyday steel: tough, corrosion resistant, easy to sharpen and takes a good edge. A stonewashed finish gives the blade surface a desirable roughened or scuffed look, and helps hide scratches and fingerprints. The handles are matte-finished glass-filled nylon for lightweight strength. The sculpted lines and texture of the handle provide for a comfortable and secure grip. The Link feels big and solid in the hand and offers a clean look. For easy opening, the Link is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening, accessed with the built-in flipper. The pocket clip is reversible for convenient left or right-handed pocket carry. The Link is made in Kershaw's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tualatin, Oregon.
MSRP:$59.99 Pkg'd in plain box.
Check out my knife sharpener, too!

Is this truly the "tanto" version, the only reason I ask is that the stock pics clearly show the tanto blade but the one in your hand looks like a drop point. Granted it may just be the angle of the shot, but I would like to be positive it is the tanto BEFORE I bid !!! Can you clear that up for me please :)

The stock picks ARE the item, the one in the hand is from a review from an Amazon verified purchase of this exact same knife: "Great knife. Great price. Made in USA. Very good knife. Looks and functions great. Made in USA. Not much else to say. I'll be carrying it for years to come." By AZ Zack P - February 11, 2016 Amazon Verified Purchase

You can enter the name of the knife ON Amazon and read it for yourself. What I say in the title is exactly the knife that I am offering. This man is showing that same knife, unless he is lying in his review, and why would he do that?

Hope that helps. Have a great day.

Thanks for the quick reply !!!
I was not in ANY way questioning your integrity or trying to insinuate that you were purposely trying to mislead anyone !!! Sometimes knives come in various models with different point configurations and it is easy to confuse the two !!! Thanks for the added info !!!
I used to have this same knife and someone decided they liked it more than me and relieved me of it !!!

Oh, no offense taken at all...my integrity is quite intact...after 20 years of selling on eBay and many here, as well, I can handle a question, or two, lol! You can bid with confidence with me, read my feedback and look me up on eBay: sail_on_sailor ---almost 5k 100% feedback there, also! Have a great day and if you're interested I'd jump on this, the credits to dollar ratio are in your favor on this one! Thanks!

Someone advised me that I wasn't asking enough. When a 25.00 Amazon gift certificate goes for over 450k on here. Do you think that's too much? I just don't like the way these things are working on here. I'll lower it back down. Not trying to be greedy, just fair.

Some Q & A from the listing on Amazon:
Question: which is the better steel, this 420hc, or the more used 8cr14mov. thanks
Answer: Thank you for contacting Top Quality Knives. 8CR13MoV stainless is basically the equivalent of AUS8A. The key to blade performance for both of these steels is manufacturing quality. That's where Kershaw's expertise comes in. Kershaw precision heat-treats 8CR13MoV steel to bring out its best high-performance characteristics: the ability to take and hold an edge, strength, and hardness. The 420HC stainless blade steel has higher amounts of carbon and chromium to boost hardenability and corrosion resistance. It is an excellent everyday steel: tough, corrosion resistant, easy to sharpen and takes a good edge. For everyday use, even a serious "knife knut" would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between a well-made 8CR13MoV blade and a well-made 420HC blade. I hope this helps. Again thank you for contacting Top Quality Knives and your business would be very much appreciated. see less

I'm a big fan of Kershaw knives and have at least six of them. I'm always amazed at the quality of their knives, how SHARP they are, right out of the box, and the general ergonomics; workmanship, fit, feel (how they feel in your hand) and general functionality. I'm also a VERY big fan of their 'SpeedSafe' feature, which makes opening their knives a real please. The quality of the steal they use and how well they maintain a VERY sharp edge impresses even my most skeptical of knife buddies. For the money they charge for a Kershaw knife, you simply cannot go wrong.
I have a bunch of knives that include Coleman, Buck, CRKT, SOG, Proelia and a few custom made knives, and while I'm a fan of almost ALL knives, I appreciate the huge bang for my buck that Kershaw knives exemplify. Sure, there are cheaper knives out there and certainly WAY more expensive knives to tempt me, but none offer the quality and workmanship for the incredibly low price that Kershaw offers.
My favorite knives these days are the ones with a Tanto blade. I'm not sure WHY they're my favorites, but there's something about the shape and cut of a Tanto bladed knife that just trips my trigger, so to speak. People keep asking me why I have so many knives and how many do I really need, and I always tell them the same thing; "Just one more!"

Cont. from previous comment: My Kershaw 1776T 'Link' arrived with an exceptionally sharp blade that easily shaves the hairs off the back of my wrist. The spring assist 'SpeedSafe' launches the blade instantly and it locks into place with that confidence inspiring 'snap' that tells you the blade isn't going to budge. I love that sound and I'm sure it's a sound that most knife junkies are fond of. There is no play whatsoever and the blade is perfectly centered between the two halves of the grip. It unlocks easily, unlike MANY of knives I own, and it's a truly one-handed knife.
This will be FAR from my last Kershaw knife purchase, as they have about a dozen other knives (at LEAST!) that are on my short list of future purchases. Whichever models they turn out to be, I have all the confidence in the world that they WILL be winners. Kershaw knives are just like that; they're ALL WINNERS! HIGHLY recommended!
