The listing, 2007 Press Pass "Saturday Signatures" KEVIN KOLB (Eagles/Cardinals) rookie autograph has ended.
Kolb is a great "what could have been" story. Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007, he backed up Donovan McNabb for 3 seasons, then was named starter in 2010. In his first start, he got a concussion which resulted in Michael Vick taking his job. In 2011 he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, where he passed for nearly 2000 yards in just 9 starts in between injuries in 2011. In 2012, he led the team to a hot start before breaking his ribs midseason. Released due to injuries, he signed with Buffalo in 2013, where he was promptly concussed during preseason game, which would ultimately be his last action in the NFL; he retired due to the lasting results of numerous concussions over his brief career. Kolb had proven to be an above-average QB on some below-average teams; one can only wonder how well he might have performed had he been protected during his career.
