Questions & Comments
how do these work? do you need a machine that you run them thru to cut them?
nice, is Cuttlebug a new up and coming machine or is it one of those that's been out on the market for awhile?? I guess the best question to ask you is, What machine would you recommend for a first timer?? thanks so much for the info by the way. You've been super helpful.
I love the Cuttlebug, and it has been around for a long time. It's the only one I have ever used, because it is a Provo Craft product and I also have a Cricut Electronic Cutter which I love! Most machines are compatible with any brand of die, and I almost always have excellent results with my Cuttlebug. On some brands I have to add a small metal shim to get the best results. I also use it for embossing, which gives a gorgeous look to your papers. It is simply a heavy, hand cranked machine where you layer plates and papers/embossing folders together into a sandwich, and crank it through. As you look around Listia, you will find a lot of examples of embossing and die cuts. The frilly, delicate looking ones are usually cut on this type of machine. And ask away! I love it when someone wants to learn something new!
9I can't say for sure since I don't own those machines, but itvseems like most are interchangeable depending on how you stack your sandwich, and you might need a shim. Hubbub
