Two of Blake Edwards's later Pink Panther comedies appear back-to-back in this box set. It begins with one of the final entries in the series, 1982's TRAIL OF THE PINK PANTHER. The film is actually an attempt to resuscitate the franchise two years after star Peter Sellers died, by splicing in old footage (mostly outtakes) of the comedian, framed by the story of a reporter (Joanna Lumley) investigating his legacy. The second picture in the set, 1978's REVENGE OF THE PINK PANTHER, finds Clouseau traveling to Hong Kong to infiltrate a heroin deal, but causing a never-ending string of catastrophes along the way.
