I didn't mean any offense by it, but I know that sometimes even though it's stamped, it can be plated and not solid sterling. Other countries have more lax standards in the way that they are allowed to stamp their jewelry. Across seas, they are allowed to stamp 925 even if it is only plated. It doesn't state solid or plated in your description, that's why I asked. I didn't realize it would be taken as an offensive question especially since this was not included in description and it DOES say to "feel free to ask any question" at the end of your description. As for your feedback, not everyone cares if it's plated or solid. Many people do not have any reaction to plated materials nor do they know anything about jewelry or metal composition but only that it "looks pretty" and was as shown in photo. For myself, I cannot wear plated jewelry. My skin has horrible reactions and will pit and corrode the material and the ring will be useless to me within days :( That's why it's important that myself, and others like myself, ask this question "Plated or solid sterling silver". Just trying to be well informed so I can bid accordingly. Thank you in advanced.

First, no offense taken as I am not looking to be offended which is a key component to that happening. =) I will tell you what I tell everyone .... my hubby and I make our pieces or buy from local artisans. Every Piece of Sterling Silver is 92.5% Silver and the rest is another metal because Silver is too soft on it's own to hold it's shape. In America the standard and what we use is PURE Copper for the rest of the metal. All Silver must be polished ...hence why in old British films the maid are ALWAYS polishing the Silver. =) There are legally by American Standards Sterling Silver. I appreciate you stopping by and looking, asking questions, and explaining your situation. Now you are the type of person I recommend that you wear GOLD FILLED because Sterling is always going to tear you up. I always wear Gold filled or Stainless Steel because I have similar problems. I have some sterling pieces that I LOVE and I wear them but take them off at night and never shower in them unlike my wedding ring or my small chain and pendant that I wear 24/7. My ring is Gold filled and my chain and pendant are stainless steel. So I really do understand why you would ask but Sterling is not the way that you need to go. Simply because as we age those allergies to the metals only get worse not better. I thank you for looking and I wish you the best on all your bids here on Listia. I am sorry I am not sure at your question is that isn't answered in the description and pics. It says that it is Sterling Silver and the pics show that stamp. So please feel free to be more specific as I am unsure of what you are asking since I am very clear in every auction what the metal is. Feel free to let me know where it is that I am not communicating correctly as I am always happy to know from other's points of view how to improve upon my auctions. I always push people toward my feedback so that you can read in other people's words what others' have to say about me. That way you don't have to take my word for anything you can see that my word is my bond and I assume that everyone else's is until they prove to me other wise.
