The listing, PCGS Graded 1964 90% silver Kennedy Half sample slab has ended.
Here's a nice PCGS slabbed coin for a young kid's coin collection. This is called a "Sample Slab" because it is handed out at coin shows by PCGS, usually to budding young new coin collectors.
Coin is a 1964 90% silver Kennedy Half dollar, uncirculated, but graded as a sample, by PCGS, one of the premier coin grading services. This is an older slab handed out in the late '90s.
Photo is of the actual slabbed coin you will receive. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
No, there is no grading number. This is a sample that PCGS gave out to dealers in the late 90's as an example. It is noted MS, and the coin is uncirculated. Many collectors (me included) like to collect sample slabs for the slab varieties.. This is a case where the type of slab adds more value to the coin. I also have a more recent PCGS sample slab posted for a Jefferson nickel if you are interested. Thanks!
