Everyone else is right. You can't close an auction after people have started bidding. You can shorten the number of days for your listing of an item though. We will continue to bid.

If this person has decided to "NOT CONTINUE AUCTION" they can request to LISTIA for removal of this auction. Therefore everyone gets their credits back if this happens.
