Flood forever changed the game of baseball by rejecting a trade, which was against baseball rules at the time, after an unfavorable trade sent him away from St Louis; 10-5 veteran rules and free agency are largely attributed to Flood's work; unfortunately, his legal work also effectively ended a creer that had been stellar to that point; he won 7 consecutive Gold Glove Awards between 1963-1969 as well as batting over .300 6 times during the 1960s, twice topping 200 hits. With over 1850 hits when his career snagged at age 31,there's little doubt that a healthy Flood could have joined the 3000 hit club and been a all of Famer; instead, he's a notorious footnote in baseball history.

Card is in fantastic shape and should grade in excellent condition and possibly EX-MT.
