This is a very unusual ring. The amethyst crystal is made like a 'bar', 1/2" long and about 1/8" thick. It is set into the sterling setting with a 'cap' on each end. At one end are 3 very small jewels that I think are also amethyst. On your finger, the amethyst in its sterling sits 'high' above your finger.
