Do you happen to know if this is solid sterling silver or plated? I ask because some sterling silver (plated) jewelry can be stamped. Thank you!

Feel free to look through all my auctions as well as my feedback. You will see in listings that are not Sterling Silver then I tell you exactly what it is. Now all Sterling Silver that stamped here in America (Hubby and I make these ourselves) must be 92.5% Silver. Now Silver alone is such a soft metal that it will not hold it's shape and so it must be mixed with another metal. The standard for the other metal is Copper and in the U.S.A. it is pretty much the industry standard. We use Sterling Silver Ingots to make our pieces and I trust the person I buy the Ingots from and if any of my pieces were bought from local artisans I trust the artisans that I would have bought from. Again, please check out my feedback so that you don't have to take my word for it. Also if you have any doubts please don't bid and I say that because this is Listia and we are all giving away things we have in trade for credits so that we may obtain things we need or want. I want everyone to be happy and if you have doubts then you aren't going to be happy which is not good for anyone. I do hope that I answered your GREAT question. I love any excuse to talk about Crystal and Gemstones. I hope you Wednesday is Wonderful! ~Namaste

Wonderful information, Thank you! I agree, I am the same way with desiring any excuse to burst with talks of gemstones, gemology, jewelry design and the like! I'm currently attending GIA for my Graduate Gemology degree and I will be making my next move by attending College for Creative Studies for Jewelry Design program there. I'm a sponge when it comes to this industry! lol. And there's always something to learn, I think that's why I take to it so well......I can't get enough! Do you have any websites for your brick and mortar? I'd love to see some of your other work. I like this design-it's different. I don't really like some of the "mass produced" or generic designs. After so long, you start seeing the same stuff and it becomes a bit boring. Thanks for posting! Will be watching for more :)

Our Brick and Mortar Store had to be closed literally over night so we could sell the building when I got a rare Cancer really young (it is only suppose to happen in Women from mid to late 60's who are post menopausal and I was 34 and had just had a baby and was getting ready to have another making it even more rare) so I had to travel two states and a 12 hour drive away to find someone who knew how to treat it and had a Holistic approach to helping your body fight the Cancer. So everything we had got boxed up by our wonderful community and friends and put in our basement while we were at a Cancer Treatment Center in Zion, IL. So you can look up Aluuna's Wind and you may find old pages and announcements and the like but the website it'self went the same day the building did so that we didn't have people trying to order stuff that we would not be there to fill. I know that is a really long answer for "no" but I wanted to explain why. Speaking of which I am running out the door for a Dr's appointment now. Have a beautiful afternoon and evening! ~Namaste

Oh wow, so sorry to hear! That's completely understandable though! Do you still design all the work yourself and work on jewelry designing? Or is this something you are still just selling off the rest of your inventory you had back then? So sorry to hear about everything, best wishes to you and your family!

No reason to be sorry. I am blessed because most women my age who get it die at the rate of 85%. in 2012 35,000 women under 40 died from it and in 2015 it was 85,000 women under 40. Most Women can't get diagnosed prior to it being too late because it aggressive and no one is looking for it in women that young. However, I knew something was wrong and while I was originally told I had to wait because of insurance to see my OBGYN because it had not been a year since the last time I saw her I fought unit she saw me and then I fought until she actually went to look for what was wrong and because I did I survived. I try to tell all women that when you KNOW something is wrong don't take no for an answer because Dr's are PRACTICING medicine and they are not Gods and like in any profession there are good ones and there are bad ones. So off that soap box. .... Yes we still design and make things in our 1850's tech forge we built when we found we could download any book in the library of Congress and we built an outdoor forge for fun and fell in Love. We still do shows from time to time but because of the side effects of treatment I have no ability to regulate my own temperature so it has created some unique challenges and it means I can only work in the Spring and the fall casting on my own. My hubby is a retired Military officer who has to work full time now because of our insurance needs (for myself and our 9 year old) so we don't have as much time but we still make things and during the months I can't work outside with out someone else home then that is when I do all my stone shaping. Thank you so much for your beautiful wishes for myself and my family and may they be returned 10 fold to you and yours. =) ~Namaste

OOh I completely hear you on that note! The whole "Drs PRACTICE medicine" thing. I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia and several other ailments for 7 years, until I realized my migraines weren't going anywhere (along with all the other physical issues I was having) and the medicines weren't treating any of my symptoms. Went to the ER one night for a wicked Migraine and they did a CT scan on me. First one, ever. Found that I had Chiari Malformation I and that it was very common (1 in a 1000 have it). Once I followed up.....I was seeing specialists and now I have to have brain surgery to have my brain "decompressed". God knows how it happened or how long it's been there or if it's even gotten worse since it originally began. *Smh* Drs are human beings but ONLY WE know our bodies well enough. Not to mention that tiny voice in our heads that whispers "Something isn't right". LOL@ off that soapbox.

It sounds like you have a lot of fun with what you do! I'm trying to complete my Graduate Gemologist program through GIA (Currently only have my AJP-But will be taking more classes as time presses on to build up to the GGD). Recently, I fell in love wtih the idea of designing jewelry. That wasn't my original love tho. Ultimately, it's gemstones. My hands are too shaky and my eyes not great enough to become a lapidary, but I want to be part of the creative process since i"m pretty artsy fartsy and love to create. So, I think that'll be my next step....to aim for a designing degree and try to be well versed in the wonderful world of jewelry. Well rounded knowledge never hurt anyone, right!? ;)

Thank you for the well wishes as well! Excited to keep watching and see what other beauties you list. I'll be around :)
