Having no knowledge of quilting beyond seeing my mom make one once when I was a kid (hated loosing 1/2 my living room lol) do you just need ties for materials (& stitching of course) or do you attach the ties to squares & then put them all together?

I don't believe any of the patterns are appliqué but the dresden Plate one that looks like a fan would be kind of like that. The rest are piecing like a crazy quilt. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for looking!
