Model number SMC7004AWBR. 11Mbps wireless operation, 64-bit/128-bit WEP encryption and MAC address filtering, Firewall security with hacker attack detection.3-port 10/100 Mbps switch with Automatic-MDI/MDIX feature plus 1 port for WAN connection. Built in print server. Works with PC's or Macs.

i done the research...it is a wireless B router... wireless b was the 1st wireless that ever came out...since then wireless G has came out...and now wireless N is the newest...the newer the product, the faster the wireless can be and the longer it will reach...

it usually will say something like 802.11B, 802.11B/G, or 802.11B/G/N on the router itself...newer routers will always pick up the old signals as well...so there is no such thing as a wireless N router only...if it is wireless N it will pick up wireless B and G as well because wireless B and G are older than wireless N...and if you have a wireless G it will also pick up wireless B...but a wireless B router will only pick up wireless B...

On the box it shows Standards IEEE 802.3, 802.3u. and 802.11b

I looked at the paperwork that is with it and it says it is 802.11b compliant !
