This hard back book, "The Sherlock Holmes Companion," "brings together all the ingredients - a Who's Who, plots of each story, biographies of Holmes and Watson, an anthology of their aphorisms and a chapter on their relation to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, their creator." Illustrations are by Sidney Paget. The book makes a nice compliment to Sherlock Holmes stories. The hard cover and binding of the book are in good condition considering its its age. It still has the original jacket on it. However, unfortunately, tne very botton of the jacket got torn off many years ago in moving. Other than that it is in good shape.
