North American Aviation SNJ Texan, I took this photo on 07/15/2000 at Volk Field Open House Airshow in Camp Douglas, Wisconsin at Volk Field Wisconsin Air National Guard Base. I have been going to airshows since 1978. Over the last 28 years, I have been a volunteer at The Minnesota Air National Guard Museum. The Museum has been in existence for 31 years. I of one of three volunteers who have been around the museum for more than 25 years. I was never active duty military due to my asthma. I have studied aviation and military history for the last 40 + years since I was a freshman at a military high school U.S. Army JROTC. 99.9% of our volunteers are retired military and they consider me to be a walking encyclopedia.
