Description

The listing, Pilgrim Hat Die Cut Tool has ended.

This is a wafer thin die cut tool that creates the shape of a pilgrim hat. This is a designer die from Echo Park Paper Company. It can be used on most popular die cut machines although I tend to use mine on Anna Griffin's cricut machine made by Provocraft. Of course, please don't use these wafer thin tools in a machine like the Cricut. I strongly urge you to use a rubber mat and a metal shim for a sharper image. My camera would not focus in well on the tiny image above the hat that says: This die set creates this shape. The package states that this tool will cut through paper, cardstock, and other thin materials. The hat measures about 1 1/2 inches by about 2 inches. I think this will work with my Sizzix doll body shapes.

This would look so cute for cards or scrapbooking those special moments such as a photo of the family gathering at Thanksgiving. Those memories are happy times to treasure! It would be cute for illustrating photos from a school play as well if the theme is about Thanksgiving.

I only have two of these tools and will not be able to offer a duplicate. This item will not arrive before thanksgiving. But, at least you can preserve those memories! I am listing both of these tools, so if you want one, please bid to win!

If you need some help learning die cutting techniques, there are lots of demonstration videos on you-tube and there is a website address listed on the package for additional shapes and ideas.

What about Sizzix red original machine

I use my original red Sizzix machine all the time! However, I use it for die cuts. The embossing machines using have a handle so that you can roll items through. The red Sizzix machine is for pressing the handle down then you have to scoot up the item and mash some more. If you cut your metal shim down so that it will fit into your machine (a hardware store can do this for you), have a rubber mat, and have another Sizzix plate (you can still order these plates from Sizzix---I've even done so in the last 6 months!), I don't see why you can't use the wafer thin dies in it! You just have to modify your equipment. And, awesome seeing you again!!!! *hugs!

I omitted to mention that I use my Sizzix big shot for waffer thin dies all the time. In fact, they have special instructions for how to use different die cuts on topdogdies.com with a variety of popular die cut machines if you want to check them out.
