I learned some from my Great Grandfather who could make anything out of Limestone and other other rock he could find. Then as I got older I pretty much spent time with anyone who knew how and would let me apprentice. Most things I got an idea about how to do each corner and curve from someone I watched doing it and every once in a while i come up with something that works just for me. I was sick for such a long time that I got a lot of pieces done. When I quit smoking on October 20, 2000 it became an almost obsessive thing for me. I had to keep my hands busy and then it became a Zen thing where I could relax and listen to the stone. Michealangelo said that he never created the the forms in his sculpture he claimed to just free the form that God had placed there. We had a great day we got a new fridge (ours was 30 years old and was not working anymore) we had been saving up for and with Lowe's Awesome Military Discount we got the Fridge we wanted instead of having to get the one we could afford. So we got a 2600 dollar fridge for 1100 and FREE Delivery. So I can't complain at all about our Veterans Day or thank Lowe's enough for Honoring those who have served. Congrats on the new fridge...so great you got it cheaper. Heavy winds and thunder storms are coming through soon. Hope our electric doesn't go out or any trees come down. We certainly appreciate all the veterans and what they have done.

We already lost a tree in the front yard. The wind cracked the trunk in half. I could hear it happen from inside the house. Sounded like a loud crack of lightening but is was actually the tree trunk snapping in half. So we will have plenty of wood for the Winter. It was 30 years old at least b/c it was here when my hubby bought the land in 1992 so it was very large and since there is nothing to be done about it now it will make excellent Fire Wood. I hope you guys weather the storm in good shape. I know we were at the very tail end of the storm but you were going to get hit so I will say a small prayer for you and your home to make it through in one piece. Keep snuggled under a blanket until morning. Try and Enjoy the evening but stay inside and stay warm and dry. I wish you the best my friend! ~Namaste~

Hello Vickie! It is alwasy good to "see" you! I hope you are doing well! This is a great Figurine that would sit nicely anywhere in your home. She could be carried in your purse but I would make sure she is wrapped in a cloth to protect her from chips and cracking. Things about ANY Crystal and how it would fair if was just in your purse and then the keys drop in on it. That wold result in damage. She is Well Made and is a Tough little Angel but just like any Crystals (or Women for that matter=) she is subject to being cracked or hurt if we don't treat her well and with respect=) I hope that answers your question and if not keep at me until I get the answer you need.
