Does this router's wireless cover a large amount of space? My current is a Modem/router combo and it drops wireless signal about 15 feet from my room where i just bought a new flat screen with rokustick installed and cant get signal.
I assume it has the default admin and password on the bottom? And you can set it up manually without disc correct?
Those are all good questions. I will answer each in detail as soon as I get the kids off to school and I am able to answer effectively..thank you for the great questions!
Please forgive my slow response. About the signal..yes, it has a very powerful signal. I got a great signal anywhere I was in my house as well as outside the house. The information to log in is in fact on the bottom and there is also a reset button to set to factory. The router is plug and play and will start working as soon as you plug it in and you can also go to the website and get any other related info needed as well. When you plug it in it has a feature where you just push the top blinking button and it adds the device. It's really easy.
iD be willing to probly GIN this if i knew it would work with my current modem/router combo which is a/b/g/n .. I have read a little about it but sounds like it would make it much more of a simple set up if the installation disc wizard came with it. But as i asked before I assume it can be Manually configured and the default admin and PW are on the Bottom of the router correct?
you could probably go to the Netgear website and download the installation software correct? hope I win, only kind of router that will work with my isp.
@cdSmith does it still work fine? whats the reason you decided to get rid of it if you dont mind me asking??
@ Quicksilver yea you can go to the website and do firmware updates if needed. Or find any other info you may need.. I found out alot about this router just by reading reviews and stuff on Amazon also!
Im currently using a modem/router combo that was provided to me by my ISP. My issue is im looking for a router that will provide more coverage with its wireless wifi, The what im using now drops Signal right before my bedroom and i just bought a new flatscreen TV with a Roku stick pre installed and cant even use it. Im hoping and guessing this will work with my one provided by my ISP. A friend of mine has a neatgear router she uses and we both have the same ISP and same modem/router combo they gave us.
I cant seem to find anywhere on the net if it will for sure work or not though..
Yes it works great. The reason I no longer use it is because we didn't have internet for a while. When we just recently signed back up again with Windstream they provided us with a really high tech router and we haven't needed this one.
