There IS a Generation 2 connection though--before that line ended in 1995, this mold, along with three others, was to have been part of the series, but only made it to the prototype stage. It and the others wound up being used for the 1997 Machine Wars line (as Megatron and his clone Megaplex), the 1998 Japanese Beast Wars II series (as Thrust), Wind Sheer here, and the 2005 Robot Masters line (as Air Hunter).
