The listing, classic Roku box ~ I can't get it to work has ended.
I won this classic roku box for standard edition televisions-old style on here a while back and I can't get it to work. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what the issue is. If you can get it to work you'll have Netflix, Pandora and more. it comes will all necessary cords and remote. Free shipping.
You are welcone. I am sorry you could not get it to work. Did you enter the password to your modem on the roku account page to link the box to your wifi?
I honestly can't remember as I tried when I first got it a few months ago then put it away and didn't try it again. Just went and bought a smart tv with everything on it- made life easier lol
even with wifi capability you have to go into the roku settings and set up your wifi in order for the roku to access your internet. its the same thing with a wii or xbox etc but like said above ^^^^ it should at least show a power light on when plugged in if it isn't then something may be bad with the roku. Can you plug it in again and take a pic of it so we can see if the light is coming on preferably hook it up to your tv too av cord or hdmi cord and plugged in adapter of course and then take the pic.
I can't get it to turn on and not sure if I'm hooking it up wrong or it just doesn't work. instructions can be found online but I may be just doing something wrong.
These work with WIFI no cable needed...just saying. IF you do not have even a power light, then you have a power issue. Bad power supply inside, burnt board, power adapter bad, bad jack. Could be something super simple or something that would require repair. When plugged in properly you should be able to at least get to the menu screen.
thats would be the only way it would work you would have to have a ethernet cable hooked to it to get the internet in order to work properly like i was saying my aunt had the same problem intill she had a etehrnet cable hooked to the back of her box and now she doesnt have anymore problems but good luck to your auction have a nice day
did you have the ethernet cable in the back of the box plus if there is not a green light on the front of the box then something is wrong with the box my aunt had one of these in she found out you would have to have the internet so now hers works fine
I am technically challenged but not quite that as bad as not thinking to plug it in, so yes plugged it in lol. And, as I couldn't get it to turn on or work, I was unable to determine if any registration was required
