Stalks and leaves are cut form card stock in a deep, rich brown and the cattail tops or seed pod part at the top is cut form genuine suede. This was the closest material I could find to make the cattails look and feel all soft and fuzzy. I used many for thank you cards and for funny cards for my senior citizens. They greatly enjoyed the suede I used because it gave the cattails depth, dimension, and a nice touchy feelie bit of fun!
These are perfect for fall, Halloween or Thanksgiving cards and really are special in scrapbooks, too.
