Well I can tell you that all the "tests" out there are not compelling evidence unless you buy an expensive high power magnet. Your fridge magnets are made to stick to very light metal and every ring will have some magnetic pull. So taking something to a jeweler who of course is going to make money of you (or at least is gonna give it the old college try) should have a chemical test they can do which I would not be able to understand. However .925 Sterling Silver is 92.5 Silver and the other 7.8% is another metal usually copper and in my case copper. (Silver on it's own is such a soft metal that it must be mixed with another metal b/c otherwise it will not hold it's shape so 925 Silver is as pure as you can get.) My ingots that I buy to make my rings I have been buying from the same US Seller for 15 years and I have never had one of them be anything but Sterling Silver. I trust them completely. There is no cheap test you can conclusively do at home without spending BIG bucks. You have to trust the person you are buying it from and legally in the U.S they can't be stamped 925 if they are not so.
I know you are wanting a 100% sure fire way to tell but there simply is not a way to do it. Jewelers will tell you what they think will make money. I can't wear sterling because I will tear it up b/c my Ph balance is very acidic. I only wear Gold FILLED jewelry b/c I can't afford gold and gold filled is the next best thing. It comes down to do you love it. I am all about the stones but try to make quality ways to wear them. Does your skin react to it? Those are the ways you have to make your decisions unless you want to go to a Big Box store like Zales, Helzbergs, Jarrods, etc and pay those kind of prices. I am sorry I don't have a better answer for you. But I do hope it provides some clarity. Have a Wonderful Week ahead! ~Namaste

Hello, Well I can promise you that is is not "played" =) all good I read typoease fairly well. =) Please look through all 24 pics to the see the 925 stamp. I always tell you exactly what each of my items is made from. I, as much as any, understand the horrible reactions a body can have when it meets a metal it is allergic to. Feel free to check out my feedback as I have given away hundreds of Sterling Silver pieces with nary a complaint. I figure others can say more than I can about my items since they are not solicited comments and I have stated here what it is. Thank you for stopping by and taking a look. If I misread your typo please feel free to ask again. I love questions and am always happy to answer them. Have a Wonderful Week! ~Namaste

Hello, my friend, it is always so good to "see" you! I know this one is a large size, a part of my Goddess Collection. I don't just stretch a band to make them bigger I actually cast a mold that is bigger. I do have one's listed in much smaller sizes. Thank you so much for stopping by. I always appreciate you opinion on my stuff. It means a lot to me. ~Namaste
