*White Opal, Diamonds & 14K Gold, Heart Shaped Pendant*

*This lovely piece is stamped with it's 'maker's mark & 14K.*

The pendant is in the shape of a small heart with a tear drop at top. Kind of like a tear drop that opens up into a heart. The tear drop & one side of heart are gold. Left side host the tear drop shape, white opal & 3 silver leaves, each with a tiny diamond in the center.

I've provided many pictures of this lovely piece & have included pics. of the stamps & one of it next to a dime to give you a idea of it's actual size. Like many other pieces of mine, this little beauty has been sitting in my jewelry box for far to long & deserves to be worn. I've been very hesitant about listing jewelry, but finally giving it a chance here on Listia.

The White Opal is the most common of opaque white stones called milk opals. Like other opals, the white gemstones can reflect many colors, owing to their internal structure that diffracts light. The White precious stones are the traditional birthstones for the month of October. Around 97% of all white gems come from Australia, which accordingly designated Opals as the country's national gemstone.

Here's what I found - Priority mail international with tracking & insurance runs $16 for packages up to 1 pound , $17.30 for 2 pounds & $18.50 for 3 pounds. I would think that this would fal in the up to 1 pound category @ $16. However, there was something else about Canada charging you (receiver of package) taxes on anything valued at over $20. Were you aware of the tax? It does say that the taxable value is based on what you the buyer pays the person shipping the package for the item, not it's actual retail value. I'm going to clarify things with my local post office. Hope this helps!!

Oh, I know sweetie!! I love it all after I get them up & running. Sometimes it seems like such a chore to get them up & running. I had a few of them end so low recently, that it didn't even make it worth the effort it takes to list, much less the cost of shipping. LOL!! It's the chance we take though, every time we list. You just get those listing's sometimes that have a ton of watchers, but their all Facebook followers & don't have any listings under their belts yet. Anywho!! I'm just rambling on!! Just left post office & here's what I found out. The price has changed since that post I found online. They said that a lot of small packages pass on thru customs without the Canadian tax being charged, but there's still that chance of being charged tax on any item $20 & up. Priority Mail International Small Flat Rate includes tracking & insurance & arrives in 6 to 10 business days & cost $21.95. If you win this listing or the other pendant & the bids are 100k or better I will pay $5.00 of the $21.95, leaving you paying $16.95. Hope this helps!! Good luck if you decide to bid. Thanks!!
