Are these from your garden here in Arkansas? If so how did you grow them? I have heard growing them in an old ale of hay/straw works well. I have grown the carrots like that but in Marshall I did Potatoes in straw, needless they never made it full grown. They were the best new potatoes I've ever eaten.

Yes, I let some go to seed so I would have them for next year, I plant mine in the row with radishes and the radishes helps to break the ground so they can come through okay, I also add a little sand to keep the dirt from packing, if the dirt packs they won't come up

nope I do like using old bale I have left over from the year befor, with goat droppings added
