Real amethyst stone set in costume gold tone ring. A small rhinestone is missing from side of ring. I had the amethyst stone and set it in this ring myself. Stone is large and can be easily removed. It is perfect for someone who works with jewelry to put in a nicer setting.

It doesn't look flat. I think I put the stone in with a slightly flatter side up to fit the setting. It's hard to tell, but I don't think either side is completely flat.

The ring itself is a gold tone cocktail ring. I took the stone out and set the amethyst inside of it. It held up color over the years, but it's not real gold.

just noticed that the second and third pictures are not the same ring as the first picture. the band is completely different and the white stone is completely missing in the second and third picture

I can't update now, but the ring is the same in all the pictures. I only have one amethyst ring and stone. There are no games here.

It has been such a long time, but I recall purchasing the stone then buying another costume ring to set it in. The ring is gold tone and retains it's color still.
