first, this is MUCH better and detailed than pictured - for the first 8 inches where the holes for the two buckles are - it is flat black leather - from there to where the shiny silver tone buckles are on the other end, it is fancy leather latticework

the belt itself from end to end measures approx. 42 inches - the first two holes for the buckles start at approx. 40"; the next set at 39", next set 38" and the last (tightest set is at the 37 inch point - the belt is approx. 3-1/2 wide

this has been worn once - just because it says size large on it, I suggest you go by your measurements rather than the size stated.
