Reusable cloth menstrual pads have been around for hundreds of years before disposables. Where do you think the term "on the rag" came from? :) you will be pleasantly surprised that cloth pads are available in many countries and there is alot of work at home businesses that make and sell cloth pads like I do. Check out etsy ;)

The best thing about cloth is once you discover it Melissa, you never want to get store bought disposables again. Reusables are so much more comfortable, the fabric breaths so you don't get all itchy and sweaty, and it honestly just feels like you wore a thicker pair of panties rather then the diaper feeling disposables give you, plus there are no chemicals in the cloth to mix with the blood so there is no smell. At the end of the day you just wash it out and use it again. And if tampons are your thing there is always cups. Menstrual Cups are made out of Medical Grade Silicone or TPE and other great materials to produce a high quality flexible cup that can sit inside you and collect the blood rather then absorb it. When its full you just empty it, rinse it out and reinsert it. then there are ways to sterilize between uses so its always clean. and the best part is Cups have NO chance of TSS where Tampons do. Cups can be word for 12+ hours where tampons can only be worn 5-8 hours and when worn properly you can't feel your cup at all, you almost forget you are even on your period.
