Sorry, I've read the specs several times (including pic #9) but, still have questions. Is this live feed only or does it record? Does it connect to laptop, pc, tablet, iPad, phone or how? I've never had one of these. It's all new to me. Thank you.

Thank you! Not confusing at all! Believe it or not, my home looks like "cable city" with all the electronic goodies I use every day. Once I understand how something works, I usually find ways to connect it to everything else. Thank goodness for generators! I'm lost if I lose power! I just wish we had better internet connection. That goes out a lot up here (I'm in the mountains).
I have a couple of DVR units that connect to laptop so, that part would probably work. The only problem I can foresee is the noise of the portable generator to use this away from home. The built-in is quiet but, if I remember correctly, the portable is kinda loud. I'll check it out. Thank you for all the info! I just never know how something "new to me" works without help.
