Not my usual style of Brooch but very handsome, indeed!

Heavy in the hand & the setting is made of both smooth & brushed Gold tone metal rectangles (brass, perhaps?)

The Mod style design of the setting reminds me of the 1970's & the work of Mondrian, with many square shapes, fused together to form a design pattern.

Being so unique, and being very attractive, it will make a great addition to your Jewelry case.

The stone is also of interest. It has an alluring presence & the teardrop cut, gives the Brooch composition a bit of unique juxtaposition. The color of the stone is similar to Jade, but has a different depth, more opaque, I might say, so I'm entertaining the possibility of it being Nephrite or Chrysoprase. Or~~lovely Green glass?? Just not sure~

Measurements are 1.5" x 1.5" & it is very well made, but un-branded as to maker. Being offered "as is" due to my lack of knowledge of it's past.
